How to Solve Display 3D LUTS DOUBLING Issue on BMPCC6K

An issue arises with the Black Magic Pocket 6K when using the RECORD LUT TO CLIP feature.

Under the setting menus (monitor, etc) it is possible not only to straight up RECORD LUT TO CLIP but also to DISPLAY 3D LUT.

The problem is very simple, if you have them BOTH ON, you will see the LUT TWO TIMES!  AH!  This is a simple issue to fix but also can be very confusing when you suddenly see your image twice as saturated and contrasted as it should be.  Here is some answers!

SOLUTION 1:  DO NOT DISPLAY THE LUT ON YOUR MONITOR SPECIFICALLY

This is a simple and handy solution to resolve the issue so you can show everyone your attached monitor with NO CONFUSION.  Turn the DISPLAY LUT off going to your HDMI attached monitor.

Here is that answer in this forum from blackmagicdesign.com

SOLUTION 2: TURN OFF DISPLAY 3D LUT (& SAVE IT AS A SPECIFIC "PRESET")

In order to solve this, simply put on RECORD LUT TO CLIP (ONLY) turn off the other setting to DISPLAY 3D LUT and save it as a PRESET in your camera.

NOW...you will record and see everything as is with the LUT baked in and without the double lut issue.

SOLUTION 3: TOGGLE IT WITHOUT BAKE IN

You can also opt to only have DISPLAY 3D LUT ON or you can choose to TOGGLE IT WITH EITHER F1, F2, F3.

Problem should be resolved and you are ready to get those great Black Magic Cinema Camera Results in 4K, 6K or Pro res 1080P that you need!
