When a distributor wants you to give them AUDIO STEMS here is a simple HOW TO within adobe premiere CC.
1) Make sure you edited by keeping all your audio in separate channels an example would be
TRACKS 1-10 DIALOGUE
TRACKS 11-20 SOUND EFFECTS
TRACK 21-25 MUSIC
2) Now let's make the stem. MUTE ALL TRACKS ON THE TIMELINE THAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAR. Example of this would be keep tracks 1-10 in audio of editing bay and mute 11-25 to get a DIALOGUE STEM.
3) NOW GO TO EXPORT CHECK Audio Only
4) In AUDIO export settings use 48 HZ, STEREO, 16 BIT - these are a standard setting but your distributor may want different ones.
5) Hit EXPORT and save it as the stem you are creating example below! The end!
