John Favreau is one of my favorite writer/directors working today and his Star Wars masterpiece THE MANDALORIAN is just another reason why I love him. This show gets pretty much everything right, with nods to the classic Akira Kurosawa samurai films like YOJIMBO, HIDDEN FORTRESS and SEVEN SAMURAI and the spaghetti westerns of Sergio Leoni. This is the space adventure serials you were looking for. On the list for being so damn immersive, clever and lets not forget...FUN!
