Friday the 13th: Part III (1982) Director: Steve Miner Stars: Dana Kimmell, Tracie Savage Genre: Horror

Friday the 13th: Part III in 3D (A New Dimension In Terror!!!) is probably the most fun Friday the 13th thus far!  Part 1 was a turning point in the genre but...did not hold my interest like Halloween did.  I did not have much of a connection to the characters in Part 1.  I love the ending of part one also so that has to be noted here.  Part 2 really did not hold my interest either.  Part 3, 3D gags and all, was a lot of the FUN I was expecting from the franchise.  Shelly, Shelly, Shelly!  The best character thus far in one of these films.  An important part of horror is identifying with a character we truly care about and Shelly stole (AND sold) part 3!  3D was a great gimmick and brought in major box office numbers.

(ABOVE) SHELLY is seen here who is the most likable character in a Friday movie yet.  He lends realistic emotional weight to the story and the situation.

Budget: 4 Million USD
