THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (1956) Director: Alfred Hitchcock Stars: Jimmy Stewart and Dorris Day Genre: Thriller

All star cast + mystery thriller + humor in spades - THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH is a classic Hitchcock thriller with a climax for the ages.  The Royal Albert Hall sequence is a masterclass in suspense.  Bernard Herman himself (in person) leads the orchestra in a strange but fitting song as Jimmy Stewart and Dorris Day piece together the plot to kill an ambassador.  There is a fair amount of humor in the film towards the middle and the ending punch line.  My favorite Hitchcock is REAR WINDOW but it is great to see Jimmy Stewart here again as a Hitchcock protagonist.
